Concert for Cancer - 2011 date tba
The first Concert for Cancer will feature performances from select local musicians and established bands/acts. A six hour show is proposed starting at 4.30pm and ending at 10.30pm.
The exciting line up will provide a mix of both young and established artists providing something for everyone.
Throughout the show images of the people we have loved and lost will be projected onto a large screen making them the stars of the show. In the run up to the event and as we build awareness of the Concert for Cancer we hope that people will send us pictures of the loved ones they wish to be remembered.
"Cancer is such an awful disease and appears to take so much from us. However, it does show us how brave and strong people who have the disease can be. It shows us what fighting should be about, not violence, but people working, caring and helping each other. Thankfully there are many dedicated people who care and join the fight against cancer. Why don't you join us and meet some amazing people!"
